COMMUTEwell’s rideshare benefits encourage the use of public transportation and other means of sharing your commute to work. Ridesharing reduces air pollution and traffic congestion and supports a more sustainable, livable environment for the Los Angeles area. Rideshare programs include the following.
Transit Spending Account (TSA) PRogram
Allows employees to set aside up to $325 (for calendar year 2025) per month on a pre-tax basis to pay for transit expenses while also providing a Transit Match of up to $100 per month.
Note that TSA accounts are separate from the Transit Subsidy Reimbursement Program. Employees are not eligible to receive both a Transit Match and Transit Subsidy Reimbursement for the same time period and the same transportation expenses.
Transit Subsidy Reimbursement (TSR) Program
Provides up to $100 reimbursement per month to employees who use public transportation to commute to work.
Carpool Program
Assists with matching employees interested in sharing transportation costs; may also provide eligibility to receive a carpool parking permit at a City employee parking facility.
Vanpool Program
Operates approximately 80 vans commuting from the greater Los Angeles area to common City work locations.
